*** Charitylog users - are you getting the best from your system? Why not book a review or top-up training session to make sure you're up-to-date? ***

We decided early on that having a sales team wasn’t for us. Here's why...

1. Each charity is unique - and complex

There's often a huge variety of roles - clients, carers, volunteers, referrers, trustees - not to mention many different types of projects, outcome measures, local and national funders and funding streams requiring different project to be delivered in different ways, each with different recording and reporting needs.

This complexity presents a challenge for a software provider - not just in terms of producing a CRM system flexible enough to support all these different models, but also in setting it up in a way that meets each charity’s specific needs.

2. A sales team is expensive

... a cost we'd have to pass on to our clients.

3. Hard-sell techniques are counter-productive

Salespeople can be pushy. A person who's only motivated by getting a sale may blithely try to talk square pegs into round holes without taking the time to really get their heads around what you need from a CRM.

Instead of salespeople, we hired experts who know Charitylog inside out

Our experienced implementation consultants will take time to learn all about your charity and its specific needs, and then support you to ensure your CRM is set up and adapted accordingly.

They each have a deep knowledge of how Charitylog works, and are familiar with the non-profit sector and what makes it different. Most have worked for charities in the past. They will never use any aggressive sales techniques, or try to talk you into buying a more expensive version than you actually need.

A budget-conscious charity needs honest advice, not a load of ... hot air

Buying a CRM and discovering later that it doesn’t do what you need it to is a costly mistake – and one that we hear happens a lot, with charities hoodwinked by big commercial software firms who care only about their sales targets.

It’s in no one’s interest for us to talk you into a CRM that doesn’t meet your needs. That’s why we avoid hard-sell in favour of expert advice and experience.

We want you to choose Charitylog safe in the knowledge that it will genuinely benefit your organisation. And yes - if we think another system will work better for you, we’ll say so.

It's as simple as that.
